Hello My Crafty Friends!

I have a fun slimline card to share with you today.  Whimsy Stamps is the first company to design and come out with these dies to help make these sleek card designs that are so popular right now.  You can see the other two new slimline dies HERE and HERE. 



I am using the new Slimline Marquee Die on my make today.  It has wonky windows that add a fun and unique look to your projects.  I paired it with Dustin Pike's new Camping Dragon's Clear Stamp Set. 



Using this new die allowed me to tell a cute little story of a fun camping adventure.



I used Whimsy's Sun Rays Stencil along with Distress Ink to create the sun rays.



Aren't these opossums the cutest?!  I add the tiny clouds from the Build-a-Farm Die Set to create this sweet little scene.



I used Whimsy's Shaker Maker Rectangle Die Set for the stars.  They are so tiny and adorable.  I love them!   I added Clear Wink of Stella to the stars to add some starlight twinkle...even tho it's hard to see in the picture...trust me, it's shimmery goodness!

~ La-La Land Crafts - Many Thanks Treat Box Tutorial ~

Happy Friday!

Today's Inspiration Friday Challenge is boxes and bags using the new September 2019 release.  For my project, I decided to create a darling little box that is perfect for a thank you gift, party favor or gift box full of sweet treats.





~ Step by Step Instructions ~

- Stamp, color and trim around Cockatoo from the Birds Of A Feather Clear Stamp Set.
- Cut down a piece of designer paper to 5 3/4" x 5 1/2" from the Endless Summer Designer Paper Pack.
- Score on 5 3/4" side of designer paper at 3/8" and 1" on both sides.
- Score on 5 1/2" side of designer paper at 1/2", 1 3/4", 3" and 4 1/4".
- Gently but firmly fold on scored lines.
- Apply adhesive on 3/8" side, fold and adhere to make the box.  This will be the back of the box.
- Cut a piece of teal cardstock 6" x 1 1/2".  Fold around box and adhere with tape.
- Cut a coordinating piece of designer paper from the Endless Summer Designer Paper Pack 6" x 1 3/8".  Fold around box and adhere with tape.
- Fold ends of the box like a milk box on both ends of the box.  Punch a hole and thread twine and tie a bow on one end.  Add treats through the other end.  Punch a hole and thread twine and tie the box closed.
- Die cut white cardstock using the smallest die from the Nested Frames Large Die Set and the second smallest die from the Nested Frames Small Die Set.  Stamp a sentiment on the small die cut.  Adhere die cuts to center of box using foam tape.  Adhere rhinestones to die cuts.
- Die cut a piece of white cardstock and a piece of teal cardstock using the palm leaf die from the Tropical Leaves Die Set.  Adhere to box using foam tape.
- Adhere Cockatoo to box using foam tape.

~ Whimsy Stamps - Wolf Stamp, Two Ways ~

Hello My Crafty Peeps!

Today I am sharing with you two different ways to color the Wolf Head Stamp from Whimsy Stamp's newest release.   I love being able to take one stamp and totally create two totally different looks. This stamp is super easy to color as the shading areas are already marked where they need to be. 



For my first card, I decided to make an elegant masculine birthday card in my favorite color combination, black and white.  I embossed the white panel using Whimsy's Sun Rays Stencil.  The picture below gives you a better look at how embossing this panel really elevates this card.  I added some foliage die cuts using Whimsy's Leaf Foliage 2 Die Set.  This set has a lot of great foliage dies but this die is my favorite. 



Coloring the wolf's eyes blue really brings him to life.  I love how stunning this card turned out!

For my second card, I decided to design a card that reminded me of those cool wolf shirts you see at gas stations when you travel.  This card would not only be perfect for halloween but a boy's birthday. I know this, because when my grandson saw this card he goes, "This looks so cool, how did you do that!  Best compliment ever!!!



I embossed the grapevine looking arch from the Howling Night's Clear Stamp Set with WOW!'s Ebony Embossing Powder.  I think this stamp is creepy cool and I love how it helped bring my vision to life.



I added Clear Wink of Stella to the stars.  It's hard to tell in the picture how shimmery they really are but trust me, it adds twinkly goodness to the night sky.  I decided to color the wolf's eyes yellow in this design.  I think it makes them look piercing and like he's peering deep into my soul.

~ La-La Land Crafts - You Color My World ~

Welcome Friends!

Today is Day Two of La-La Land Craft's September 2019 Release.  I have another awesome project to share with you today, this time using the new Never Change Clear Stamp Set.  The chameleon image that comes in this set is so stinkin' adorable...I just want to pinch his cheeks!  I can just imagine the endless color combinations to color this cutie!



I placed him on La-La Land's new leaf die called Monstera Leaf...it's big and fabulous!  I turned the new Luggage Tag Die into a shaker....so fun!  On the circle die cuts, I used the background stamps from the Simple Joys and Stress Free Zone background stamp sets.  The new background from the Stress Free Zone set is a must have stamp...it's downright awesome and stamps beautifully!  The background papers I chose came from the new 6" x 6" designer paper pack called Endless Summer.  I love the colors that this paper pack comes in...so pretty!
