~ La-La Land Craft's - Spa Day ~

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today's challenge for Team Friday is to use La-La Land Craft's new release.  I have chosen to make a shaker tag using these adorable chickies from the new Relax & Unwind Clear Stamp Set.  I love the towels wrapped around their heads.  I used Copic's Various Ink Colorless Blending Solution and an old piece of terry cloth to get that realistic look of a terrycloth towel.  I even used this technique on the bunny slippers to make them look fuzzy.

This tag would be perfect to add to a spa day gift basket for someone special or you could add a pocket on the back and stick a gift card in it.  La-La Land has the perfect Curved Pocket Die just for this occasion.

To make the sparkle nail polish, I added Spectrum Noir's Clear Sparkle Brush Pen after I colored the bottle with Copics.  I just love how sparkly and fun this shaker tag looks!

~ Whimsy Stamps - Build-a-Basket ~

Whimsy Stamp's new spring release is so much fun!  I just adore this Build-a-Basket Die Set!  My mom used to build me the most amazing Easter baskets when I was little.  She would display them on an adorably decorated table along with other special Easter goodies.  I carried this tradition on with my girls and now my grandson.  When I saw this die, I just knew I had to build my own basket in honor of my special Easter memories.  I think the mini carrot is my favorite die in this set, tho.  I had so much fun coloring up these little cuties that I decided to place them around the oval frame and I just love how stinkin' cute they look!

Just look at the beautiful shimmer and shine on the Easter eggs from the WOW! Embossing Powders.  The glittery embossing powders are somewhat translucent, so I colored a few of the eggs first with my Copics before adding the embossing glitters.  I loved the fact that I was able to get a variety of different looks using the same powders.  For the chocolate rabbit and the basket, I used Stamendous's Clear Bark Embossing Powder.  I also colored the rabbit first with my Copics before adding the embossing powder.  This gave the rabbit that rich yummy chocolate look.

Whimsy's Sprinkles Stencil is so fun.  On this card, the sprinkles look like mini carrots....soooooo cute!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I don't know about you, but these gnomes from La-La Land Craft's "Best Gnomies Clear Stamp Set" remind of the dwarfs in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  I kept envisioning these cuties in black and white, even though Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney's first full-length animated feature film in color.  I also kept finding myself humming their marching song, Heigh Ho, so I decided to make up my own little diddy to that tune...and it goes like this:

We stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp in our craft room the whole day through

To stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp, stamp is what we really like to do

It ain't no trick to make a card quick

If you color up with a Copic

~ Whimsy Stamps - Miss You ~

Whimsy Stamp's new release is full of awesome springtime stamps!  When I saw the new Bunny Balloons 2 Clear Stamp Set, I knew immediately that I wanted to use this adorable bunny along with the floating balloon.  I think it makes the sweetest "missing you" card plus, I  think it would make a lovely sympathy card.  My husband was my biggest fan and this is my way of sending a love not to heaven!

The new Up in the Clouds Die Set is so cool!  You can choose to use the center pop up circle for the sun, like I did here, or use the sun by itself.  I love the extra dimension the pop up circle gives to the design of my card.  I have also used the new Pierced and Stitched Circles Die Set.  There are eight dies in this set, which gives you so many layering options.  I have chosen to trim off part of the left side of the circles and grass.  You don't always have to use the whole die cut.  It's nice to use your dies in different ways and to change things up once in awhile.  I am totally in love with this card and that I was able to create my vision!

For my second project, I colored up this uber-adorable "chef" hamster.  He just cracks me up!  He has been very busy baking all day and whipping up quite the delicious mess.

I have used Petal Pink Liquid Pearls for the frosting.  What I love about Liquid Pearls is that they are very easy to use and control with the tiny tip applicator plus when you use the applicator to swirl the pearls, as I have done here, it keeps the dimension and pattern, which gives a really fun look when dry.

~ La-La Land Crafts...Hello Gnomie ~

Hello Gnomies,

I have had so much fun creating with La-La Land Craft's new release!  This gnome from the Best Gnomies Clear Stamp Set happens to be my favorite but don't tell the other gnomes. *Wink*Wink  I love the fact that La-La Land Craft's encourages you to use your own imagination by leaving room for you to add your own details to give each La-La Land character their own personality.  Here I was able to add stripes to his hat and whiskers in his beard.  So fun!!!

The dies in this release are amazing!  They are so much fun to color and to create scenes with!  Aren't the mushrooms to die for?!  I cannot wait to use them again and color them in different color combos.  In this scene, I embossed one of the Water Ripple Stencils to make the background look like woodgrain and stamped the dot background stamp from the Hello Lovely Background Stamp Set in  Memento Sky Ink.  It is the perfect sky blue color.

Don't be afraid to add layers and pop diecuts up with foam tape on your cards.  It adds dimension and texture, which gives your creations that "WOW" factor.

~ La-La Land Crafts...Hippos in Paradise ~

Hi Friends,

I am back again today sharing with you my next creation that I made using La-La Land Craft's new release.  This time I am using Hippos In Paradise.  Aren't they the cutest?!  Ahhhhh...to be in love and on vacation in a tropical paradise...sounds good to me!!!

I created the background by die cutting the Hibiscus Border five times and adhering the border strips to the white scalloped cardstock and trimming off the excess.  This was so easy to do and I am totally in love with how this turned out!  Just look at the dimension and texture this technique gives...it really gives this card that "WOW" factor!

I colored the scalloped heart in blues to make it look like the ocean and the stitched heart in yellows to make it look like the sunset.  I layered the palm fronds to give extra dimension and added Antique Gold Rhinestones for coconuts.

You can't go to a tropical paradise and not go to a luau.  This hippo couple went all out and dressed the part.  She in her grass skirt and coconut bralette top and he in his shorts with a palm tree design that I created.

~ La-La Land Crafts...Take Time for You ~

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's Team Friday's turn to showcase La-La Land Craft's newest release.  All the goodies in this release are from past Club La-La Land Craft Kits and are now available to everyone.  Yayyyyy!!!  Today I am sharing Spa Marci.  We all need to remember to take a little time for ourselves!  Wouldn't taking a bubble bath in this wooden tub be just luxurious?! 

I created the bath water and bubbles by first coloring them with B000 and B00 and then adding Nuvo Duck Egg Blue Crystal Drops to give the water that "wet" look.  When that was dry, I added Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops for extra raised bubbles in random groupings and then sprinkled ultra-fine iridescent glitter on top to give the bubbles that extra glistening touch.  Doesn't it make you want to jump right in?!

To give the candles and flames that extra shimmery glow,  I used Spectrum Noir's Clear Sparkle Brush Pen.  I really love how this extra shimmer adds a luxurious feel to this relaxing scene!
