~ La-La Land Crafts - Do Not Feed the Bears ~

Hello My Crafty Peeps!

It is my day to share my crafty creation for La-La Land Craft's 18 Days of Christmas.  My card  is not  so much a Christmas card but rather a wintery card.  December can be a hard month for a lot of people who are suffering with the loss of missing loved ones, people who are alone for the holidays, people who have birthdays and are forgotten in the mix of the holiday chaos or lumped into their Christmas present, etc.  So I decided to make a fun shaker card to hopefully bring a smile to someone else who may need a little pick me up at this time of year.

I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for the Happy Trails Clear Stamp Set to be released.  Ok, it's been ever since I saw it in Club La-La Land Crafts last year.  I have been not so anxiously awaiting for it to be available for everyone to purchase.  I knew the moment I saw the sentiment, "Do Not Feed the Bears", that I wanted to make the bears look like they were wearing different disguises so they could fool anyone and everyone into feeding them.  Can you tell marshmallows are their favorite treat...LOL

I used the ears from one of the mice in the A Caroling We Go Clear Stamp Set to make him into a mouse.  The pig ears with the straw hat from the piggie pushing the wheelbarrow from the This Little Piggy Clear Stamp Set was the perfect addition to bring in the yellow color from the giraffe to make the design more aesthetically pleasing.

The antlers for the moosebear are from the moose in the new Happy Trails Clear Stamp Set.  I used Copic Blending Solution along with a scrap of terry cloth to give his fur some texture.

For the shaker bits, I used the marshmallows from the new Marshmallows Roasting Die and the itsy bitsy tiny hearts from the new Lantern Die along with white baking sprinkles and white and blue iridescent sequins.

To create the giraffe, I used the ossicones (horns) from the giraffe in the Things Are Looking Up Clear Stamp Set and I drew in the spots using a Copic 0.03 Multiliner.  The knit cap with bunny ears is from one of the new bunnies in the Snow Amazing Clear Stamp Set.

CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS

When my children were growing up, my husband started the 12 Days of Christmas tradition of giving the girls small presents the 12 days before Christmas to take the edge off of the anticipation of Christmas Day.  We always had Christmas Eve gifts of Christmas Day jammies.  Plus, Santa would always bring a family gift like a game we could all spend time playing together.

Now that my children are grown,  Elf (meaning me, Nana) has take over the 12 Days of Christmas for my grandson.  He either hides in fun places, gives small gifts with quirky little sayings that go with the gift or gives gentle reminders to listen to his momma cause Elf is a snitch...LOL

~ Whimsy Stamps - Merry Christmas Gift Tag ~

Hello, Friends!

I'm back sharing with you the third gift tag I created for Whimsy Stamp's newest release.  If you are familiar with me and my creations, you know how much I love tags, shakers and making cute little scenes.  I really love telling a story with my little makes!

This snowman definitely has Christmas spirit.  It's hard not to smile when looking at him.

I created this tag the same way as the first two gift tags with just a couple of minor changes.

With this tag, I decided to use the bow from the Candy Cane Lane Clear Stamp Set.  I also changed the pattern paper and sentiment.  I really like the boldness of the script and felt it stood out against the red.

I created a shaker gift tag using the third and fourth smallest circle dies from the Pierced and Stitched Circles Die Set and the toggle die from the No-See Kinetic Basics Die Set to actually make it into a "tag".  I really love being able to find creative ways to use my dies for which they weren't intended.

I stamped the Snow Flurry Background Stamp onto pattern dot paper using white embossing powder to create a subtle snow storm in the background.  I love the delicate snowflakes and wispy swirls on this background stamp.

With this tag I added red and white sequins and those teeny tiny styrofoam snowballs that I love.  Not only is this an adorable gift tag, it DOES look amazing hanging on the Christmas tree.  The twinkle lights make the glitter and sequins sparkle beautifully!

I just adore this little snowgirl with her sweet little button hearts and her long eyelashes.  I can just imagine her batting them at Frosty...lol

I created this tag the same way as the first one with just a couple of changes.

With this tag, I decided to use the bow from the Candy Cane Lane Clear Stamp Set, as I felt it was more feminine.  I also changed the pattern paper and sentiment.  I really love the script used for the "BRRR".

With this tag I added jumbo glitter and those teeny tiny styrofoam snowballs that I love.  Not only is this an adorable gift tag, it DOES look amazing hanging on the Christmas tree.  The twinkle lights make the glitter and sequins sparkle beautifully!
