~ La-La Land Crafts - Have a Royal Birthday ~

Hello Friends!

Welcome to this week's Inspiration Friday.  The challenge for this week is BIRTHDAY.  Who doesn't love being treated like royalty on their special day?!

This adorable princess is from the Dream Come True Clear Stamp Set.  Isn't she just the sweetest little princess?!  I had so much fun creating this magical scene.  La-La Land Crafts has such amazing products to work with!

To make the designer paper from the Little Merry Christmas Paper Pack sparkle, I used one of the stencils from the Magical Sparkles Layering Stencil Set and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste.  I just love how this translucent sparkle paste showcases the color of the paper underneath and adds that extra shine to really make this design POP!  You can't have a sparkly sky without a sparkly rainbow!  I added some shimmer to the colorful rays of the rainbow using Spectrum Noir's Clear Sparkle Brush Pen.  I also added some shimmer to the princesses dress, crown and the windows of the castle towers.

~ Whimsy Stamps - Happy Holly Daze ~

Hi, Friends!

Today I am sharing with you a tutorial using a new stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Santa and Stockings.  I am featuring Santa and Rudolph on my card today.



~ Step by Step ~

Cut white cardstock at 5 1/2" x 11" and score at 5 1/2" to create card base.

Stamp image and color with Copic Markers (See color list below).  Add white gel pen to Santa and Rudolph's noses for a highlight.  Add glitter to the snow on the chimney using a glue pen.  Trim around image leaving an 1/8" white border.  Set aside.

Cut white cardstock to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base.  Cut white cardstock to 5 1/8" x 5 1/8", stamp Snow Flurry Background Stamp using Versamark Ink and emboss using Hologrpahic Embossing Powder.  Adhere to card.

Die cut white cardstock using the fourth largest die from the Notched Squares Die Set.  Die cut two pieces of white cardstock using the fourth largest circle die from the Pierced and Stitched Circles Die Set.  Adhere one circle to the middle of the notched square using repositionable adhesive for a mask.  Sponge Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Broken China, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks around the circle die cut.  Remove circle and throw away if you got ink on it.  Lay Snow Dangle Stencil on top of notched square and use Purple Tape to hold into place.  Using a spatula, spread Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste through the stencil.  Set aside to dry.  Add glitter to the second circle die cut using a glue pen.  Once glimmer paste is dry, adhere glittered circle die cut to notched square with the circle slightly overhanging over the bottom edge.  Trim off excess.  Adhere to card using foam tape.

Die cut white cardstock using the smallest triangle from the Shaker Maker Pennant Die Set.  Die cut the triangle again using the smallest triangle from the Shaker Maker Pennant Die Set to create the shaker window.  Add glitter to triangle using glue pen.  Adhere acetate to back of triangle.  Stamp out enough bricks of the chimney to fill in the inside of the triangle, trim out the bottom two layers of bricks and adhere to a scrap triangle piece of white cardstock.  Trim to fit triangle.  Color bricks with Copic Markers.  Add Diamond Dust on top of the bricks and adhere the triangle window using foam tape to create the shaker.  Adhere to card.

Adhere Santa and Rudolph to card using foam tape.

~ It's Time to Celebrate Whimsy Stamp's July Release ~

Hello Everyone!

Crissy Armstrong illustrates some of the most adorable penguin stamps and her new set called, Penguin Lean on Me, is no exception!  This li'l guy reminds me of the penguin from the movie Happy Feet.  I colored up the smallest die from Whimsy's Wavy Nested Frames Die Set to look like a piece of ice for this cutie to dance on.  You can't help but smile when you look at the joy on his face!





I used Nuvo's Moonstone Glimmer Paste with Whimsy's Fireworks Stencil.  This stencil is not just for 4th of July...it makes a great background for birthday cards, too.  I colored the die cut word, Celebrate, with Copics and added Clear Wink of Stella to give it some shimmer.  I layered it on top of black cardstock which helps make it stand out on top of the sparkly fireworks and to tie in the black from the penguin.  I love the beautiful script that the "Celebrate" Word Die comes in.  The script makes it easy to curve the word onto the card, which helped balance my design.

~ Second Look at Club La-La Land Craft's 2019 March Kit ~

Hi Friends!

I'm back again to share a few more projects that I have made using Club La-La Land Craft's 2019 March Kit.  This kit has been a pure joy to create with!  So much so, I created a third project to share with you today.  If you missed my original post showcasing this kit, you can see my projects HERE.

Now let me show you what I have created to share with you today.  First up is this adorable hamster trying to juggle all the delicious cupcakes he has made.  This little guy is the stamp where he has a spoon in his hand and is sitting next to a plate of cake.  Every time I looked at him, I couldn't get this scenario out of my head, so off to the crafting table I went to create this scene.  He is laying on top of a bed of strawberry leaves on a cake stand...he has been a very naughty hamster eating all the strawberries but luckily he left a few to add to the cupcakes.  I created the cake stand using the mixing bowl die and several layers of the small icing layer from the Build-a-Cake Die.  I wanted it to look like a frilly cake stand.  

How cute is this Electric Mixer Die?!  I turned the cupcake top die upside down to make it look like cupcake batter in the mixing bowl.  I just love how this turned out!  This looks so yummy it makes me want to lick the bowl...lol



I added Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops to the strawberries to give them that wet glistening look.  They look so real...I want to eat one!

To make the cupcakes look even more delicious, I added Liquid Pearls for icing....Yummmmm!

For my second card, I decided to create an elegant card using the Build-a-Cake Die and make a three-tiered strawberry shortcake.  I seriously couldn't be any happier on how this turned out!  To create this cake stand, I turned the cupcake wrapper upside down and put it on top of the mixing bowl to get a totally different cupcake stand look.



I used the So Many Dots Layering Stencil for added dimension on the cardstock layers.  This card would definitely make a beautiful birthday card for someone special!



I seriously cannot get over how delicious and realistic this cake turned out!  I used Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops for the icing and added the strawberries in while it was still wet to get that strawberry glaze effect in the icing...Swoon...I'm so in love with this creation!

I was having so much fun that I decided to whip up this adorable gift tag.  This cutie patootie hamster has my heart for sure!  This hamster is the stamp where he is holding a cupcake but my little guy decided he was wayyyyy to hungry and needed a big piece of cake to eat instead!  Apparently, he thought the three-tiered strawberry shortcake I created looked delicious, too!  I colored up the cake on the plate and added it to my hamster by cutting up his tummy (the cake hides the cut marks) and around his little paws so he could hold his piece of cake while eating it.  Have you ever watched a hamster eat?  So stinkin' adorable!!!



I even cut out little bite marks where he had already started to nibble...lol  He is a very happy hamster!

For my second project, I colored up this uber-adorable "chef" hamster.  He just cracks me up!  He has been very busy baking all day and whipping up quite the delicious mess.

I have used Petal Pink Liquid Pearls for the frosting.  What I love about Liquid Pearls is that they are very easy to use and control with the tiny tip applicator plus when you use the applicator to swirl the pearls, as I have done here, it keeps the dimension and pattern, which gives a really fun look when dry.

~ La-La Land Crafts...Take Time for You ~

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's Team Friday's turn to showcase La-La Land Craft's newest release.  All the goodies in this release are from past Club La-La Land Craft Kits and are now available to everyone.  Yayyyyy!!!  Today I am sharing Spa Marci.  We all need to remember to take a little time for ourselves!  Wouldn't taking a bubble bath in this wooden tub be just luxurious?! 

I created the bath water and bubbles by first coloring them with B000 and B00 and then adding Nuvo Duck Egg Blue Crystal Drops to give the water that "wet" look.  When that was dry, I added Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops for extra raised bubbles in random groupings and then sprinkled ultra-fine iridescent glitter on top to give the bubbles that extra glistening touch.  Doesn't it make you want to jump right in?!

To give the candles and flames that extra shimmery glow,  I used Spectrum Noir's Clear Sparkle Brush Pen.  I really love how this extra shimmer adds a luxurious feel to this relaxing scene!
