~ Second Look at Club La-La Land Craft's February 2019 Kit ~

Hi Friends!  I am back sharing a couple more projects that I have made using the February 2019 Club Kit from La-La Land Crafts.  This kit has been so much fun to play with! Marcie is outside hanging up her freshly washed laundry on a beautiful sunshiny day.  I really enjoy dreaming up ideas on how to use my diecuts in a way they were not intended for like using these adorable clothespin diecuts and turning them into sun rays.  

To make the laundry basket look like plastic, I used Nuvo Duck Egg Blue Crystal Drops on top.  I love how it gives the basket a realistic shiny plastic look not to mention the dimensional quality.

For my second project, I combined the plaid background from the Just For You Background Set and the Fishing Net Die to make a quilt.  This Kitty is enjoying the summer breeze waiting for her blanky to be dry.

This time I turned the clothespins into the clothesline posts.  I am so happy how this little scene turned out!

Welcome to day three of La-La Land Craft's 2019 CHA release.  I hope you have been enjoying all the projects I have been sharing with you!  I love panda bears and I just adore this panda from the Love Notes Rubber Stamp Set.  His face just cracks me up!  And what's a love note without and envelope?!  You could put a little tiny love note inside as a surprise.  

I think the Postage Stamps Die Set suits this card perfectly and the red rhinestones on the Heart Garland adds a special touch.

For my second project I am using this adorable dragon from the Dream Come True Clear Stamp Set.  His magic wand is actually one of the Shooting Star Dies.  All it needed was a little glitter to give it its magic.  To make the castle walls, I use the dies from the Postage Stamp Die Set and the Once Upon a Time Background Stamp to make the walls look like stone.  The royal family is getting ready for a birthday celebration, so I added the Stage Curtain Die as a fabric banner.  Now all that is left is for the dragon to grant someone's birthday wish!

~ Day 2 of La La Land Craft's 2019 CHA Release ~

I am using Ballerina Marci for my first project today from La-La Land Craft's new 2019 CHA release.  I decided to showcase Ballerina Marci as I am a trained ballerina (a little something you didn't know about me).  I went to a very strict ballet school where we all had to where a light blue ruffled leotard with light pink tights and our hair in a bun.  The only difference is, we had to wear pink ballet slippers with pink ribbons that our moms had to sew on but I put Ballerina Marci in blue ballet slippers because she is dancing in a recital and I felt her ballet slippers needed to match her tutu.  Ballerina Marci definitely looks like a prima ballerina.

Looking at this card brings back such fond memories of all the lessons, recitals and especially all of the excitement and butterflies we all had before going on stage.

My second project to share with you today is a little mini album featuring Unicorn Molli.  She is the fashionista of all unicorns.  Doesn't she have the cutest 'lil attitude?!  This album is full of all the new amazing dies that La-La Land is releasing.  I'm pretty sure you will want them all!!!



I created this little album with affirmations we all need to say to ourselves...we are all unique in our own little ways and need to embrace who we are...we are brave each and every single day and we all need to remember to sparkle as you never know who needs a little kindness and a smile.

Isn't this new Build-A-Unicorn Die stinkin' adorable?!  Oh how I wish I had those eyelashes!

The Curved Pocked Die and this tag from the Large Stitched Tags Die Set work perfectly together.  The tag is a perfect place to add a message or affirmation that I want to remember.

I was so excited about the new Double Stitched Stars Die Set that I couldn't help myself but turn it into a shaker.



I used the second to largest tag from the Large Stitched Tags Die Set and used the Small Envelope Die to make this adorable envelope.  I left the small envelope open so I could add a little message later...like from a fortune cookie that I will want to save...lol



The largest size tag in the Large Stitched Tags Die Set is my favorite size.  You can make a mini tag book just out of a bunch of these...I am so looking forward to do just that!

There is plenty of room for me to add more affirmations, pictures, or things that bring me joy.

~ Day One of La La Land Craft's 2019 CHA Release ~

Hello Everyone and welcome to day one of La La Land Craft's new CHA Release.  It is going to be an exciting few days sharing with you all the new crafty goodness coming your way!  The Traveling Cats Clear Stamp Set is just too cute for words.  This 'lil guy reminded me of my dad when I was a child.  He was a navigator in the Air Force and I would see him in his olive green jumpsuit when we would go visit him at the base, so I couldn't resist making this 'lil guy one, too!  I made the accent die pieces in navy as that is the main color of the Air Force and because my dad traveled, I made the card look like luggage and used the label die from the Curved Pocket Die Set and the Large Stitched Tags Die Set to make a luggage tag.  I, of course, had to make it into a shaker card.  You know how much I love a shaker card!

I just adore this card and I hope you do, too!

For my Instagram hop inspiration, I used the Christmas Tidings Clear Stamp Set along with the Making Waves Stencil.  I used Nuvo's "Blue Topaz" Glimmer Paste to make the waves.  Isn't this color incredibly beautiful?!  

Don't you just love Nemo's tiny red nose?!  He is a clown fish after all...lol  I added a Mini Action Wobble Spring under the sea turtle so when you move the card the sea turtle looks like he is swimming in the ocean.  This gives the card a fun interactive element!

Jingle wave, jingle wave, jingle all the wave....sounds like a good place to spend Christmas to me!  There's nothing like feeling the ocean breeze on your face and seeing nothing but ocean for miles to ponder, pray, dream, refresh and renew your heart and soul!!!

I love making cards with lots of dimension.  You can see the Rudolph Seahorse is on top of a Mini Action Wobble Spring (see pic below) so when you shake the card he wobbles, too.....so cute and fun!!!

~ Candy Cane Forest ~

This sweet little polar bear from La-La Land Crafts is having fun making sugarballs in a candy cane forest in the land of Sugarland.  Didn't you know the North Pole was located in Sugarland and not in the middle of the Artic Ocean?!!!  I love how this scene turned out looking so sweet and delicious!

I created this scene by covering all the die cuts in Nuvo "Moonstone" Glimmer Paste.  Look at all that glimmering shimmering goodness!  This paste dries so fast and is beyond easy to use.  I think I need to buy a case of it!  

I love all the dimension this card has!

Today's La-La Land Craft's Inspiration Friday Challenge is to use a background stamp.  I decided to use two.  The dot background stamp that comes in the Hello Lovely Background Set is definitely a lovely background stamp.  I stamped it using Lemonade Distress Ink to make the background paper and for the Ship's Wheel Die and the ferris wheel from the London Border Die.  It is the perfect subtle summer color to go along with an ocean theme.  I stamped the background stamp called "Wood Planks" in Walnut Stain Distress Ink and used the Lattice Bracket Die for a pier shape.  I also stamped a second piece of cardstock using the "Wood Planks" background stamp.  Since Distress Ink works well with Copics I was able to color over the woodgrain pattern.  After coloring these pieces, I attached the Lattice Bracket Die piece over the second stamped piece of woodgrain cardstock and trimmed it to match.  I really love how the pier turned out!  Now "At The Beach Molli" has the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view and sip her lemonade in her super duper cute watermelon bikini.

  To make the ferris wheel look like it was all lit up I added rhinestones and I added Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops to the waves to make them look like they had white caps.  This card was so much fun to create!

~ Magical Winter Wishes ~

Hi All,

I'm here today sharing one of Whimsy Stamp's new releases called "Favorite Flake".  It is such a cute set and I couldn't resist making a card using this darling Unicorn trying to catch snowflakes on its tongue.  In a magical world, Unicorns come in all kinds of colors so I decided to use lovely shades of lavender or in Copic terms, blue-violets.

I used Whimsy's Snow Dangle Stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I also spread the paste over the cloud die cut.  Look at all that shimmery goodness!  This paste is so easy to use and dries super duper fast.  It's translucent so you can achieve different effects by using it by itself, like I did with the stencil and over the cloud die cut or putting it over color, like I did on the Unicorn's horn.  You can also add a few drops of your Copic Various Ink Refill to match any project you are working on.  How cool is that?!

Look how sparkly the Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste looks on the unicorn's horn.  Also, his teeny tiny tongue just cracks me up!

~ Oh My Deer...Dream! ~

I am beyond honored and excited to share with you that I am one of La-La Land's Guest Designer's this month!  I have loved their stamps and dies for like EVER!!!  I could not help myself from making a card with La-La Land's new adorable "Spring Woodland Critters" clear stamp set. SWOON!!!  The critters just speak soft dreamy colors to me so I decided to go with lavender.  Doesn't this scene look like the fawn is in a romantic forest with lilac petals floating all around!

I created the dotted background by using Tonic Studio's Lilac Lavender Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and their Beautiful Bokeh 6 x 6 Stencil.

To give the trees that Birch tree look, I brushed on Nuvo Pure Platinum and Gunmetal Grey Embellishment Mousse with my finger.

I watercolored the deer using a mixture Tim Holtz's Distress Markers and Tombow Markers.  

Distress Markers:  Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Brushed Corduroy, Black Soot, Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint.  Tombow Markers:  990 and N00 (Blender Pen)

To make her nose and the spots on her back stand out I used Nuvo Ebony Black and Simply White Crystal Drops.
