~ La-La Land Crafts - Poultry In Motion ~

Hello My Crafty Peeps!

Welcome to my Inspiration Friday challenge post.  This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES.  Spring is my favorite time of year and I am so ready for winter to be over.  My project emotes what spring means to me.  A rebirthing where everything is new again.  Flowers bloom, grass is green, trees grow new leaves, soft breezes, the warmth of the sun on our faces and the best part of the season....baby animals are born.  Cute little chicks, bunnies, lambs and foals...oh my!

I absolutely adore the look on this little chicks face as she steps out of her shell that has been safely protecting her for the last 21 days.  There is no doubt, the look on her face says she is full of confidence and is totally ready to conquer the world.

To help illustrate what spring really means to me, I designed a mostly white card with a touch of green and pink as I really wanted the chick and the egg to be the main focus of my design.

~ La-La Land Crafts - Have a Royal Birthday ~

Hello Friends!

Welcome to this week's Inspiration Friday.  The challenge for this week is BIRTHDAY.  Who doesn't love being treated like royalty on their special day?!

This adorable princess is from the Dream Come True Clear Stamp Set.  Isn't she just the sweetest little princess?!  I had so much fun creating this magical scene.  La-La Land Crafts has such amazing products to work with!

To make the designer paper from the Little Merry Christmas Paper Pack sparkle, I used one of the stencils from the Magical Sparkles Layering Stencil Set and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste.  I just love how this translucent sparkle paste showcases the color of the paper underneath and adds that extra shine to really make this design POP!  You can't have a sparkly sky without a sparkly rainbow!  I added some shimmer to the colorful rays of the rainbow using Spectrum Noir's Clear Sparkle Brush Pen.  I also added some shimmer to the princesses dress, crown and the windows of the castle towers.

~ La-La Land Crafts - You're My Anchor ~

Happy Friday My Crafty Friends!

Today's Team Friday challenge is to use blue and gold.  I love this color combo.  It just so happens to be my high school colors.  I was on my high school dance/drill team and I loved shaking my metallic blue and gold pom-poms....a huge shout out to the Eagles!

I just adore these little seahorses from the Summer is Here Collection Stamp Set.  Aren't they the cutest?!  If you have not had the chance to check out this stamp set yet, you need to!  If you are an ocean lover like me, it's a must have!  Not only is it full of awesome smaller versions of La-La Land Craft's images but it is also an incredible value!

I used diecuts from the Leafy Vine Die as seaweed.  I added yellow gold glitter to a few of them for some extra yummy sparkle.  The Fishing Net Die is one of my favorite dies.  You can use it for more than just a fishing net to your projects.  It is perfect for adding extra texture to your designs plus I even used it as a quilt once on my of my cards.  You can check out that project HERE.

Here is a close up picture of the embossing on my card.  It is always hard to get a good picture of embossing on a white panel.  I used one of the stencils from the Water Ripples Layering Stencil Set to give the illusion of the ocean and seaweed moving along with the swimming seahorses.

~ So Happy You Exist ~

Happy Friday Friends!

Today's Team Friday challenge is to create a clean and simple project.  Our design needed to incorporate at least one image and three dies.  I love clean and simple (CAS) card designs and I have a lot of respect for CAS designers, they are truly talented!

The designs I create on a regular basis, however, would not be considered clean and simple.
I love telling a story with my creations and my designs usually have a lot of layers and dimension.  The project I created to share with you today is about as clean and simple as I can get and still tell the story I had in my head.

Here's proof that unicorns do exist...I actually have a photo proving it...lol  I have had this Photo Elements Die in my stash for quite some time now just waiting for the perfect image and sentiment to use with it.  I knew the moment I saw the sentiment, "so Happy you Exist", that this would be the perfect sentiment to use with this die along with this adorable unicorn from the Be Unique Clear Stamp Set.  I loved creating this whimsical and dreamy little photo scene proving that unicorns really do exist!

Clean and simple cards usually have a lot of "white" space so I wanted the unicorn to stand out in my design with it's colors being pulled in by the colors of the dots in the designer paper from the Endless Summer Paper Pack.  These dots remind me of little planets floating out in this dreamlike universe.  I added different sized stars from the Small Stars Die Set, a couple small clouds from the Stitched Sun & Clouds Die Set, the Stitched Rainbow Die and Tall Caste Die to help bring my vision to life.  I really love how this project turned out!  I'm gonna have to make CAS cards a more regular part of my card design regiment for sure.

~ La-La Land Crafts - Shoot for the Stars ~

Happy New Year My Crafty Peeps!

Welcome to Team Friday's first challenge of the year.  Today's challenge is to make a new year's or inspirational themed project.  My project is to inspire, not only myself, but you to shoot for the stars in this brand new year.  Can you believe it's not just a brand new year but a brand new decade?!  Time flies when you are having crafty fun!

Did you know that La-La Land Crafts has three different collection rubber stamp sets featuring smaller versions of their larger images?  I am using the mini versions of Darling Molli and Flapper Molli that come in the Celebrate Collection Stamp Set.  You can see the other two collection sets HERE and HERE.  I love using these mini versions as you can get several images on a card plus they are adorable!

I thought it was fitting to start this year off with my project showcasing my favorite thing to make....a shaker card.  I not only love making them but collecting fun shaker bits to go inside of them.  Collecting is half the fun...right?!  If you look close enough, you can see itsy-bitsy teeny-tiny stars inside to go with the theme of my card.

The pattern paper I used is from the Endless Summer Designer Paper Pack.  The colors in this collection remind me of spring, which is my favorite time of year.  The sentiment is from the Shine Bright Background Stamp Set and the star diecuts were made using the Double Stitched Stars Die Set.
