Having lost my husband a little over a year ago...the saying on this card couldn't be any truer!!! Even tho I am still grieving him, it is so comforting being able to look back and enjoy the beautiful memories he helped our family make!  Take time to make some memories with the ones you love today!!!

I absolutely love making black and white cards...they make such an elegant statement!  The train image in June's Paper Door Kit from Whimsy Stamps called "Enjoy the Journey" really looks beautiful in this color scheme.  I think it just might be my favorite out of all the cards I made from this kit!

~ Shakin' It Up with Paper Door ~

Who doesn't love a shaker card...no one, that's who!!! LOL  Guys especially love receiving interactive cards so I decided to make a shaker card with my "Enjoy the Journey" Paper Door Kit from Whimsy Stamps.  This card was super easy to make and lining up the ticket die was not hard at all.  I just used Washi Tape to keep it in place while I ran it through my Big Shot.

***To get rid of the static from the transparency, I gently used rubbing alcohol and a very soft cloth (l used the cloth I clean my glasses with) and very very gently cleaned the acetate.  I say gently because acetate scratches very easily.  To remove any static from the embossed images, I used EK Success's Powder Tool Applicator and then gently wiped the powder off.  Worked brilliantly!  Now the glass glitter doesn't stick to the acetate or the paper.  Woo Hoo!

~ A Stream of Memories ~

Hello everyone...Nic here.  Welcome to my blog!!!  This is Day 2 of a two day hop to celebrate the tenth 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I love coloring images in gray scale!  It looks clean, serene, classic and elegant.  I absolutely LOVE how this DoveArt's stamp " Stream Runs Through" from Whimsy Stamps looks in gray scale!  It totally looks like the moon is shining down and reflecting on the stream.  I couldn't resist adding twinkling star rhinestones to the sky.  I find just looking relaxes me.  I just might have to leave it on my desk as a reminder to relax and take a deep breathe.

I also love how the layers made from the Shaker Maker Combo Die from Whimsy Stamps looks in reverse.  It really allows the image to look like it's in the distance.  You can use this die set for more than just shaker cards!

One of the things I absolutely love about the Paper Door Kits from Whimsy Stamps is the card stock you receive and the new kit called "Enjoy the Journey" is no different.  The card stock in this kit is so beautiful!  I just had to use the ones that look like tapestry and leather.  They really make this card look elegant. When you order a Paper Door Kit, you also receive digital downloads for other paper you can print out that goes along with the theme of your kit.  I printed out the navy map paper and embossed the train with black detail embossing powder on top of it, which along with the beautiful card stock really gives this card a lot of texture!

~ Potted Birdhouse ~

This charming image from DoveArt's new release with Whimsy Stamps is called "Potted Birdhouse".  The flowers remind of Hydrangeas, which I absolutely LOVE!  This stamp is super fast and super fun to color up, which is especially nice if you need a quick card!  We all need one of those from time to time.

To give the card a little extra dimension, I stamped out and colored a second set of flowers to pop-up.  It really gives the illusion that the flowers and leaves are hanging out over the flower pot.

Hello everyone,

It's time for Whimsy Stamps May release and I have chosen DoveArt's "Garden Door".  It reminds me of a dreamy villa in Italy.  I had so much fun coloring up this image adding in all the textures and turning the greenery into a grapevine.  I am so happy how this turned out!  You could use this image for many occasions such as bon voyage, thinking of you, sympathy and so much more.
