Hi all,

I'm back today to share this mer-mazing mermaid from Whimsy Stamp's new release called "Let's Be Mermaids".  I created the background with Whimsy's new stencil called "Making Waves" and Tonic Studios Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.  To give her extra pizazz, I covered her tail with Crystal Clear Sparkle from Sprectrum Noir.

Hello everyone,

It's time for Whimsy Stamps May release and I have chosen DoveArt's "Garden Door".  It reminds me of a dreamy villa in Italy.  I had so much fun coloring up this image adding in all the textures and turning the greenery into a grapevine.  I am so happy how this turned out!  You could use this image for many occasions such as bon voyage, thinking of you, sympathy and so much more.

~ Have A Sun Shiny Day ~

I am so honored to be asked again to be a guest designer for The Paper Nest Doll's.  I love chickens and am a country girl at heart so when I saw Ellie with her cute little hen, I knew I had to make a card with her.  Living on a cute little hobby farm with with my own brood of chickens would be a dream come true!

I created the woodgrain on the fence and the hen house by using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop to give my card stock the woodgrain look and coloring the card stock with E59 and E79 to give it the old barn wood color.  To make the fence I used Lawn Fawn's Picket Fence border.  I made the hen house by cutting and paper piecing the woodgrain card stock I had created.  My brood of hens love their little house!

Let's kickstart May with a new release from Whimsy Stamps!  I created a CAS card with the new "Kickstart My Heart" clear set.  Sometimes less is more when creating cards, especially for men. Heck, even a motorcycle lovin' woman would love receiving this card!

When you don't have metallic paper handy, no problem!  I created my own metallic background paper with multi-purpose foil tape that you can find in the hardware/plumbing section at your local hardware store.  I just applied the tape to a scrap piece of card stock and ran it through my Big Shot using an embossing folder I had in my stash.  Simple as that!  Your own homemade metallic background paper.
